You can charge out of both, but I recommend using the Thunderbolt port, as it doesn't connect directly to the dGPU and if you accidentely damage it from dropping the laptop when plugged in and it breaks, you can still use DisplayPort directly to the dGPU through the other port. The laptop will do 100W PD from a charging brick, specifically the UGREEN 100W NEXODE charging brick, and it will charge while powered on, from both USB-C ports, the Thunderbolt 4 port and the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port. I couldn't find any concrete testing or a guide on this specific model so I decided to do my own and post my findings here for you guys to use. When I recently bought my Legion Slim 7i (mine is a Gen 8, with the i9-13900H and RTX 4070), a concern of mine was battery life, as I am going to University, I needed something that could do USB-C charging for easy charging that I could whip out anywhere.
